Initial Consultation

The first step towards achieving the garden you desire is for us to meet you and visit the garden space to be worked upon. We will send you a questionnaire prior to a visit to help you think through your requirements.

The Survey

A set of precise measurements of relevant garden dimensions and features to be retained are recorded. The contours of your garden will be measured if appropriate and a detailed photographic record is made. If your garden is very large or complex, an independent land survey would be recommended.

The Base Plan

The production of an accurate scaled drawing of the existing garden is drawn up following the survey. This forms the foundation for all ongoing design work.

The Design

A scaled drawing showing an overall concept of the new garden is developed and presented for consultation. The plan is then agreed or revised as necessary. This drawing will depict the outlines of proposed lawns,borders, trees, paving, walls and other features.

Hard Landscape Details

Scaled drawings showing proposed detailing of elements such as paving patterns, retaining walls, water features, structures, lighting, irrigation schemes etc. This drawing will allow a contractor to accurately quote for the work entailed.

Planting Plan

Planting plans provide a detailed scale map of the layout of the plants recommended for your design scheme. Planting plans will take into consideration the unique microclimate and conditions of your garden, as well as your colour and plant preferences. Border re design is available as a discrete service.

Maintenance Plan

A detailed maintenance plan documenting the upkeep requirements of all chosen plants can be developed for you to ensure the garden reaches its full potential.

Project Management

We can attend to all the details of finding the right products, building, planting and maintaining your new garden. We source quality materials, find and supervise expert contractors and aim to ensure the highest possible standards throughout.

Product Sourcing

We can dedicate time and energy to finding the best plants and construction materials to suit your garden. You may also want to use us to commission bespoke art works or to source items e.g. lighting, water features, furniture etc. to complement your garden.

Consultancy

We offer appointments to review your garden and give expert advice, ideas and information on a freelance basis.
